Presentations Overview

With a background as a professional counselor, school counselor, and educator, my primary focus for professional speaking engagements relate to these environments. I also have extensive experience working with the criminal justice system, and can offer certain topics to improve this type of work environment as well.

I am currently focused on delivering presentations related to creating healthier and more productive work environments with a focus on wellness and psychological safety. These topics are specifically designed to accommodate:

  • Schools

  • Law Enforcement

  • Mental Health Professionals

  • School Counselors

Current Topics

“Self Care in a World Where We Care for Others”

This workshop focuses on self care, offering strategies and proactive steps to increase your wellbeing and resiliency. The primary audience for this workshop is people in social services (educators, counselors, social workers).

“Creating a Psychologically Safe Workplace”

This workshop can be specifically designed to meet the needs of any workplace environment. Currently, I’m focusing on schools and law enforcement agencies. The goal of this program is to create greater levels of productivity, reduce turnover, improve the culture, develop better communication models, and remove the fear-based culture that many times is created in the workplace.

“Preventing Improper Relationships with Students”

Due to the growing percentage of educators engaging in improper relationships with students, this workshop is designed to teach educators/administrators strategies to prevent these issues by using proactive action plans to reduce risk. In fact, Texas has seen ten straight years of increased numbers of improper relationships, including a 42% increase in the past year alone. As a Licensed Sex Offender Treatment Provider, I have spent many years working with clients that have sexually acted out, including treating educators that have engaged in improper relationships.
